Mulberry Trees reportedly came directly from the magnificent gardens of the Shah of Iran. The weight of the large clusters of Persian mulberries, plus the weight of the leaves, brings the limbs low to the ground for easy harvesting of the mulberry crop. The Persian cultivar can grow 20 feet tall, and the berries can be harvested by shaking the trees and collecting the mulberries on sheets beneath the tree. The violet purple Persian mulberry have a perfect balance of sweetness and acidic. The huge green heart shaped leaves are large and very vigorous. And the dense shade is cooling during hot summers.

5 of 5 Slow to start leafing out. June 13, 2021
Reviewer: Willard Losinger from Michigan
The plants didn't seem to care for the transport experience. When they arrived, the leaves and berries on the mulberry trees were dried out. Where I am, in Northern Michigan, mulberries typically don't start producing leaves until the middle of June. And, they have just now come back to life. Buyers from the North will have to be aware of this. Otherwise, they might think that the tree is dead when it isn't.

5 of 5 Excited to have a Mulberry May 26, 2021

Purchased as part of bigger plan and hope to put up trees where ash borers had destroyed old growth forest favorites and left big gaps in the woods.  Thank you TyTy - will bring more fruit and life to birds and wildlife.
