The Gloriosa lily rhizome grows into a climbing, flowering vine that sends out tendrils that attach the climbing stems to fences and even concrete walls. The leaves are lance-like and are attached to very fast growing stems that bloom intermittently during the summer and during the fall season with reflexed petals, resulting in spider-like blooms in exotic color mixes, of red, orange, yellow or even striped pink. The evolving flowers are long lasting and are highly prized as cut flowers by florists, because of their exotic look and their extended life when used as a cut flower. The Gloriosa lily bulbs are often planted on fences, because of their continuous flowers that are so well adapted for growing in full sun.A Gloriosa Lily Flowering Vine will truly catch any ones eyes of any visitor or passerby. This rare bulb that grows into a vine is charming and amazing in every way. The Gloriosa Lily vines bloom in very bright colors: such as, dark red, yellow, bright pink, red, and orange, and each flower is drastically re-curved into a mass of petals shaped like a feeding spider. The Gloriosa Lily Vine is a perfect choice for anyone who is looking for a flowering vine to grow on a fence or wall edifice. The vines flower best when grown in full sun and are adapted to grow in most soil profiles.

The tubers felt mushy.  I planted them so we will see if they come up.

Reviewer: Daniel Fabian from Flourtown, PA United States
The plant material was a small and completely dormant root.  However, it doesn't have any sign of rot or desiccation, and is a good color.

Didn't ship well. Rather roughed up plant when received. It should recover.
