Filbert orchard nut, ripening in late September. There are many brands of nuts available in the supermarket, and the Filbert is very expensive at the grocery store, but can be grown inexpensively with very little maintenance in your garden. The Filbert (Hazelnut) Tree is also called hazelnut in European communities and are one of the popular nuts found under the Christmas tree. The leaves of the Filbert Tree are medium green in color and very vigorous, sometimes growing 5-6 feet per year.

1 of 5 Filbert Tree looks like a Dead Stick June 11, 2020
Reviewer: Sam in Virginia from Virginia Beach, VA United States
Ordered 3-4 ft. Filbert tree—It has two very thin shoots coming off the same root base, both  about 4’ tall about 1/4” in diameter. They look like two dead sticks...with no sign of leaves or new sprouts.  Roots were Very small and not well developed, and other than being packed with moisture gel, very dried and dead looking. Planted according to directions, using Nutri-Pak and Transplant Mix (both in much smaller quantities than expected). Watering regularly and now, we’ll wait and see... So far, very skeptical that this tree will live.

3 of 5 Delay in delivery May 29, 2020
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Copley, OH United States
The tree/sticks were delivered well wrapped.  One had tiny leaves, the others had nothing. But it was a few days later than expected and it was warm. The holiday didn't help.
