How to Install Weed Pro Weed Mat

1. Position Before Protector: Weed Pro can be used with or without a tree protector. It is best to install the weed mat before installing the protector so it covers the ground inside the protector next to the tree.
2. Slide Through the Cut: Carefully slide the top of the tree and/or the tree protector through the “X” cut in the center of the weed mat. Lower the mat to the ground.
3. Fold Corners: Fold each corner of the mat over to double the thickness. This helps hold the staples securely in place.
4. Secure with Staples: Pound the staples into the ground at an angle away from the tree. Be careful not to bend the staples.
5. Final Check: Ensure the Weed Pro mat is taut and flat against the ground to effectively suppress weeds and conserve soil moisture.

• Weed Pro Weed Mat is a 2ft x 2ft plastic weed block that helps the tree by not allowing competing plants to grow or germinate. The mate is made of plastic and has a perforated X in the center that the plant goes through, and comes with four spikes to hold it in place.
