The Sherwood (plant patented) jujube is considered to be one of the largest and best flavored jujubes, with fruit growing the size of lemons. This Sherwood jujube tree was discovered growing at a plantation at Sibley, Louisiana by Mr. Sherwood Akin, a member of NAFEX, and holder of the plant patent who died at the age of 89 recently. The Sherwood is a thornless jujube tree producing very dense growth with a columnar, upright tree shape. The flowers form in June but the fruit forms much later than the &bul; Li&bul; jujube in August and September. The skin surrounding the jujube is thick and provides a protection for hydration inside the fruit

5 of 5 Healthy plant and great service. April 9, 2020

I purchased a GA-866 Jujube which was delivered with a broken stem inside the package. I contacted Tytyga and they replaced it. I required for a Sherwood instead for a replacement and they did it. It is 4/9/20 here, and the Sherwood jujube has started to come out of dormancy two weeks ago and looks healthy. Thank you for the great service!

Sherwood was very wilted similar to Lang and not quite as healthy looking.  Appears to be greening up and we are watching it carefully especially on hot days to ensure that it does not dry out..

It is so thin and dried out. I’ve planted in soil until I prepare my site. Roots seem ok but the branches are completely dried and brittle   No branching on the main trunk and one limb at top was damaged during shipping it looks like.
