Pollination & Fruit Production
- Pollination: The Lang Jujube Tree is partially self-pollinating, which means you do not need another tree nearby for it to bear fruit. However, planting additional jujube trees can improve overall fruit yield and quality.
- Recommended Varieties: While it is self-pollinating, planting other varieties such as Li or Sugar Cane can increase pollination and result in larger, sweeter fruits.
- Fruit Description: The Lang jujube fruits are large, round, and dark brown to reddish-brown when ripe. The texture is chewy and crisp, with a natural sweetness that intensifies as it ripens.
- Taste: Known for its delicious sweetness and honey-like flavor, Lang jujubes are perfect for snacking or adding to a variety of dishes.
- Ripening Time: The Lang jujube fruit ripens in late summer to early fall, typically around August to September.
