Even though the mayhaw tree is native to the United States, most people have never seen this heavy producing fruit tree, because it usually in its native state is found growing in very wet areas near bogs or river banks of the deep Southern States, where very few people go, however, many new varieties will grow and thrive on normal gardens. Mayhaw jelly is the world's best jelly, very tasty when eaten on split browned biscuits or hot buttered toast. If you like growing exotic interesting trees, the mayhaw tree will be a perfect match for your garden.
