Fresh sliced Stanley plum sections are delicious for breakfast and the Stanley plum also makes great plum preserves and plum pudding. A European Hybrid plum, the Stanley plum tree is a purple-black color and very sweet and aromatic. The Stanley plum tree grows large as a semi-dwarf tree and our large plum trees bear fruit soon. Planted the tree same day upon arrival. It took 5 days for the tree to start budding and looks good thus far. the structure of the tree isn't the best so better pruning was expected. the graft location to the root stock could have been done better. Hopefully it will survive and grow. overall I'm pleased with this purchase.

The tree arrived with no leaves and no buds.  The branches were brittle and some were broken.  It is planted and I hope it starts to come back.
