Koroneiki olives originated in Greece and have been cultivated successfully there, since ancient times for over 3000 years in Coastal climates like Athens, Greece. The Koroneiki olive trees are grown primarily for the commercial production of olive oil, rather than for olives to be eaten as snacks. The olives are small and distinctly pointed on the end, and the trees are robust and are excellent landscape specimens with their silver gray leaves that brighten up background garden plantings. The olive oil is pleasantly aromatic and is prized as a premium, extra virgin olive oil.

Olive tree March 30, 2017

The olive tree I ordered basically looked like a spindly branch. Hopefully it doesn't die since it was so costly.
