Jonathon Apple Trees ripen in August needing 800 chill hours (5 weeks of temperatures below 45 degrees F) to produce apples. Cross pollination is required for the Jonathon Apple Trees, plating a crabapple nearby will most efficiently accomplish this since the pollen is shed for a long period of time.

5 of 5 Looking good June 14, 2021
Reviewer: Peter Carey from DUNKIRK, NY United States
I'll admit I didn't think much of my apple trees when they first arrived... They looked like dead sticks with some roots attached, no leaves or branches on them. 2 weeks after planting them, however, they are looking great. They have grown some beautiful leaves and are budding out branches. Looking forward to watching them grow over the years.

5 of 5 Best Online Tree source I've experienced June 7, 2021
Reviewer: Apple Blossom from MI
The apple trees I ordered showed up in the best condition and packaging I have seen ordering online.  Well packed roots and obvious signs of them being healthy and alive.  The fact that TyTy even invests in printing their branding on the packaging materials is a VERY good sign that they are for real!!

Now if they could breed apple trees that are toxic to gypsy moth caterpillars, I'd pay 100X the price.  :)  Doggone nasty caterpillars... I guess I'll have to order more next year..!

4 of 5 Jonathan Apple Trees June 7, 2021
Reviewer: David Rosamond from Salem, SC
Trees received in a timely manner and packaged (bare roots) with a water retaining substance. All three trees have now formed leaves and look healthy. We purchased several balled fruit trees from a nursery in Texas last year and we prefer the TyTy trees. We did purchase 6 fruit trees from Stark Brothers in Mo and they are doing fine, but we prefer the way TyTy left several branches. We have also purchased 10 blueberry plants from TyTy plus we purchased the fertlizer packs and the plants are full of berries already.
We do have one  disappointment from TyTy. We purchased three(3) Ayers Sugar Pear Trees (order # 352643) and we planted them the say day as the Jonathan Apples and only one has sprouted leaves. I am not sure of TyTy's replacement policy.
We have also purchased 5 rasberry & blackberry plants from TyTy.
TyTy is our "go to" nursery for future purchases.
