- Fruit Description: The fruit is round, deep orange-brown, with a firm, slightly astringent texture until fully ripe, at which point it softens into a smooth, custard-like consistency.
- Taste: The persimmons are known for their rich, honeyed sweetness that becomes smoother and more flavorful as the fruit ripens.
- Ripening Time: The fruit ripens in late fall, typically from October to November, offering a late-season treat with rich, luxurious flavors.
How to Plant & Grow Chocolate Persimmon Trees

- 4οΈβ£ Backfill & Water π§: Fill the hole with soil, press gently to remove air pockets, and water thoroughly to settle the roots in place.
- 5οΈβ£ Mulch Around the Base π±: Apply mulch or Weed Pro Weed Mats around the base of the tree to help retain moisture and prevent weed growth.
Ongoing Care & Maintenance
