Product Description Pollination and Growing Zones Shipping Information

Ayers Pear Tree ripen mid-late August and require 300 hours of cold weather to produce (13 days with temperatures of 45 degrees F. or lower). The Ayers Pear is a self pollination pear tree, however chances are that production will increase if provided with cross pollination. The Ayers (Sugar) pear should be picked and allowed to ripen off the tree for several days before eating. Ayers pears have a smooth flesh and contain a moderately high sugar content. The Ayers Pear Tree grows best in a sandy loam to loam soils that have a mild acidic (5.5 - 7) pH level.

I have no idea how everything is. I was surprised to receive them this early as the other companies don't ship till Spring. Having never dealt with bare root plants before, I was very disappointed that there were NO instructions at all. I couldn't find any on your website either. I put the resealed box in my shed where  it stays cold. IU hope this is OK till I find information on planting these

Received back in March, planted the same day. Just starting to bud. Seems to have remained dormant for longer than I expected. Hopefully we see fruit in the up coming years!
