Ayers Pear Tree ripen mid-late August and require 300 hours of cold weather to produce (13 days with temperatures of 45 degrees F. or lower). The Ayers Pear is a self pollination pear tree, however chances are that production will increase if provided with cross pollination. The Ayers (Sugar) pear should be picked and allowed to ripen off the tree for several days before eating. Ayers pears have a smooth flesh and contain a moderately high sugar content. The Ayers Pear Tree grows best in a sandy loam to loam soils that have a mild acidic (5.5 - 7) pH level.

Delivery Time: Deciduous Fruit Trees ordered during their current shipping season (usually December through April) are shipped dormant within ten days of the date of order, weather dependent. The actual delivery time will usually be within four to seven days following the date of shipping by Ty Ty Plant Nursery. Shipping Method: UPS Ground and Motor Freight if the proper arrangements have been made by the customer prior to shipping. Shipping costs do apply on Motor Freight shipments, not covered by any sales promotions.
