The Brandywine Purple Raspberry plant was developed at Cornell University in the New York Agricultural station at Geneva, N.Y. The attractive purple berry has an intense floral scent with a pleasant understated, tangy flavor, large, round and firm. The large size of the purple Brandywine raspberry makes it easy to pick, and the color of the raspberry develops late in the season as the berry begins ripening. The one-inch large berries of the Brandywine Purple Raspberry is tart but balanced with the proper sweetness in flavor. This purple raspberry is a parental hybrid of both red and black raspberry plants and tastes intensely sweet with faint floral aromas sometimes masked by premature harvesting.

I am not familiar with the growth status of raspberry plants, but currently this plant looks like a stick. Time will tell if it is alive

It's bareroot with no obvious budding. It looks ok but the last raspberries I ordered 1 never leafed out the other leafed out then rains killed it. I potted this up instead of putting it in ground and will see.

arrived in great shape. April 27, 2019

Getting ready to plant my Raspberry plants. They arrived in great shape and with highly detailed and useful instructions on how to plant them and take care of them.  Very impressed with this nursery.  Our town planted Ty Ty's blight-resistant chestnuts at our grade schools, which is how I learned about this nursery. Love the diversity of raspberries available.
