Product Description Pollination and Growing Zones Shipping Information

The Headborne Hybrids Agapanthus are cold hardy up to Zone 8; and that greatly expands the potential growing area in the United States. Giant advances at California research sites has produced a glittering sequence of dense blue flower clusters in the Agapanthus Hybrids; they are amazingly cold hardy to Zone 8. Recent hybridization advances have introduced lily-like giant flower stems that exceed 6 feet in height with flower an inflorescence approaching 1 foot in diameter.Agapanthus Headborne Hybrids will thrive next to your pools; and other areas which are close to water; providing a tropical appearance. For impressive Blue Agapanthus flowering in landscapes many coastal resorts near St. Simons Island; GA. establish large beds of Headborne Agapanthus rhizomes bordered by lirope or evergreen perennials. Since Agapanthus rhizomes plants and flowers are salt water tolerant they are valuable to plant at Sea Island; GA. as evergreen perennial bulbs.

Agapanthus looked green and healthy; planted it the same day it arrived, and have been checking for watering it ever other day because it's so hot. Plants look great! Thank you.

Lots of yellow leaves, but in our Utah climate will probably live...fingers crossed.
