Blossom Peacock Amaryllis Bulb

The Hippeastrum Amaryllis Blossom Peacock bulb is a recent hybrid Amaryllis bulb cultivar that displays double rows of inserted petals. This Amaryllis bulb introduction was created by creative Dutch hybridizers from back-crossing Dutch parental selections that transforms the stamens into extra petals that make the flower fuller, more a 3-dimensional form like a carnation or a rose flower. The white background is centered with deep orange color, with loose mottled stripes varying in width, and the orange color that can vary from day to day by the cooling or warming air evolving temperatures and the also by varying amounts of light exposure, with more light causing the color to darken almost to red in colder temperatures.•  The Blossom Pink Amaryllis blossom is a cupped shaped flower with double rows of petals that are tightly affixed to the center of the flower face, re-flexed upwards into a graceful arc. Most of the white petals of this unusual ,orange-pink Amaryllis color are, at the top and edges of each white petal, brightly painted orange-pink. The stark contrasting, yellow, fluffy, pollen powder is located at the terminus of each stamen and collides with the basic, dramatic coloring of each blossom and draws demanding attention towards the center of the flower.
