I have never heard of this variety so I am excited to see how it compares to the Chinese chestnut and the American chestnut purchased from Tyty

Arrived in pretty stressed condition.  I planted immediately in its prepared spot and have watered daily.  This one likes like it is getting little buds and may have a shot to survive

Nice 3/4 to 1 inch diameter tree with larger root with many root hairs and side roots made these easy to transplant. Buds all along the central leader with one to two scaffolds. I look forward to seeing their size next year.

Colassal Chestnut Tree June 18, 2017
Reviewer: Denton Shroyer from Ellerslie, MD United States
The chestnut trees are planted 12feet from a tree I planted 15 years ago that is now 30 feet tall.. The new trees were exceptional and even at 6 - 8 feet tall we are hoping the grow up and mate with the current tree so we get some chestnuts.
