|How long are plant packaged to live during shipping?|
|We package our plants to last during shipment normally for 30 days. We wrap the plants coated in silicone gel and plastic and use a silicon moisturizing gel called "Terra-Sorb" to keep the plants moist so they will not dry out during shipment. We ship all of our deciduous plants Eco-WISE, and we have been doing it that way for many years to cut back on our carbon footprint. To avoid the loss of your plant, it is strongly advised to plant it immediately after arrival.
If plants need to be stored for greater than 30 days take the material out of the package and keep it in a cool dark area (i.e. basement, garage, etc), adding water to the plastic wrap around the roots every 30 days.
|How long does it take to receive an order?|
|Depending on the season, and if an item is in stock, it normally takes ten business days to ship an order. Please allow up to two weeks for delivery in our busy season, between December through April. Some items may be delivered and received in a couple of days, depending on the location, so please be patient with us, for we ship many orders to people each day and packaging and processing do take time, we do our very best to get orders shipped as soon as possible.|
|Nursery ship bare root or in containers?|
|• We ship our plants, Eco-WISE.
• Your plants are grown in one of two ways prior to shipping, field-grown or potted. When we ship your plants we carefully remove excess dirt from the roots to help reduce the overall weight of the shipment. We use custom-engineered boxes to protect your plants from our nursery to your front door without the need for any additional packaging material. We ship tens of thousands of orders annually and by us doing these two steps, it allows us to lower our usage of petroleum-based packing materials and help cut the emissions of our shippers by dramatically reducing unneeded weight.
• Your plant's roots will never be bare when you receive them. We gingerly bundle the plants together with a special polymer root hydrating dip, containing micro-elements, to help keep your plants hydrated and healthy through the shipping process.
|Receiving and Acceptance|
|Nursery stock is perishable. All shipments should be immediately and carefully unpacked and inspected on arrival and then placed in proper storage. Any problems with the condition or quality or quantity of goods received should be brought to our attention immediately, by calling us toll-free at 888-758-2252.

|All deciduous plants are shipped Eco-WISE, unless special arrangements have been made prior to shipping. Container grown deciduous plants are removed from the pots with most of the soil removed and shipped, are Eco-WISE. All plant roots are treated with a moisture gel, 'Terrasorb,' and carefully packaged for delivery. Shipping charges are:

*Shipping charges can be avoided by picking the order up at Ty Ty Nursery's physical location in Ty Ty, GA, unless a shipping promotion is listed on Ty Ty Nursery's web page.
All deciduous plants ship beginning approximately December through April, weather dependent. All evergreen, palm, bamboo, bulb, banana, fig, olive, loquat, etc. will be shipped October through May. Shipping information is available on the product pages, if a plant is listed for "Fall Shipping", the plants will be shipped once they have gone dormant for the year. All orders are shipped complete and will not be split shipped, unless special shipping arrangements have been made with Ty Ty Nursery. An order will be held until all products are available to be shipped.
Worry not in Northern states that the trees arrive in freezing weather, because dormant trees do not go into shock, but trees with leaves can undergo damage if planted at the improper season. If you order from a Northern state, we are happy to reschedule your Fall shipment for the Spring, if you prefer.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture and the State of Georgia enacted laws stating that woody trees be shipped only when dormant, and the dormancy season is unpredictable determined by the weather. Please do not request Ty Ty Nursery to ship plants before dormant, since it is improper to do so. In order to conserve shipping costs, Ty Ty Nursery ships your whole order at one time.
1. Container trees & plants shipped in boxes are stressed and desiccated, because of the 'greenhouse-effect,' box-heat buildup within the cardboard container that leads to weakened plants. The interior box temperatures sometimes reach 135 degrees F. This basically cooks the trees, and the UPS metal trucks will further cascade the steamy temperatures during July and August.
2. When plants are enclosed within a box for several days, the light blackout interrupts the tree "PHOTOPERIOD", and the leaf slowdown of transpiration can interrupt growth, or in the worst case can put the plant into a lethal dormancy resulting in tree death.
3. Plants and trees should not be transplanted during June through September, because the daily watering requirements are often not done by most customers, leading to a poor plant and tree performance that usually causes customer dissatisfaction.
Do not throw away your hard-earned money on a tree nursery that encourages a gardener or a plant enthusiast to plant trees during the wrong time of the year, or unload their leftover plants from their normal shipping season - with their financial motive of making a few extra bucks. Ty Ty Nursery knows the best time and season to plant your new landscape trees or orchard additions for the best survival techniques that will lead to an uninterrupted period of long-term growth. Some tree nurseries will try to convince their customers to buy and plant their trees during the summer. Those nurseries promise that they can ship trees to you right now since their trees are shipped in a protective container. The amount of stress placed upon the trees, when planted during the summer, is four times higher than when planting during the proper season, and in most cases out-of-season planting will lead to a shortened life span of the tree. We want Ty Ty Nursery customers to be satisfied for many years in the future by planting their beautiful addition of trees at the proper season, so we suspend our UPS shipping during the hottest months of the year (June through September). All orders will be delayed until October as noted on the availability section of the product pages. Orders will be charged at the time of order to reserve the stock for you. A customer can cancel any order that has not been dug and processed for shipping or that is not shipped with ten business of ordering and upon request will receive a full refund of the purchase price. If an item is noted for (Freight Shipping), we can more efficiently deliver trees by motor freight, however, it is more expensive and any additional cost must be covered by the customer. |What about pruning?|
|All sizes mentioned on the website are overall sizes measured from the top of the root structure to the top of the plant. However, all pecan trees as well as all other plants described as being eight feet or more in height may be pruned up to one-third of the total size immediately prior to shipping unless you have made prior arrangements with us to ship the product to you by motor freight. Note that shipping by motor freight will likely increase your shipping costs. Otherwise, the product you ordered should be within the size category ordered. Bamboo plants will be pruned back to about 1ft tall and are considered root clumps, to provide for the safest shipping possible. Some bamboo clumps may not have any stalks, but contain dormant eyes that will sprout in the spring, Ty Ty Nursery can not guarantee the height, or the number of stalks in any bamboo clump and are considered approximations, not guarantees.|
|What if the merchandise is damaged?|
|In the rare event that you should receive a package from one of our carriers that is obviously damaged in delivery, please report to Ty Ty Nursery toll-free at 888-758-2252. We will file a Damage Package Claim with the carrier and re-ship your plant material.

|What if the plant's leaves are faded or have fallen off during shipment?|
|If your leaves have faded in color of have fallen off during shipment don't be alarmed, because that is normal through transit. Plants occasionally go through a brief transplant shock, but will normally revive shortly after they are replanted in the new location. Make sure that the plants are watered but not fertilized at all until after the first year of planting.|

|What is your return policy?|
|Nursery stock is perishable. All shipments should be immediately and carefully unpacked and inspected on arrival and then placed in proper storage if not planted within 30 days. Any problems with the condition or quality or quantity of goods received should be brought to our attention immediately. Nursery stock cannot be returned without the express written permission of Ty Ty Nursery. In all cases goods cannot be returned after they have been accepted, processed, improperly stored, planted, or otherwise treated, modified or used in any way.
How do I claim a your hassle free Plantsurance?
If a plant does not survive please transplanting notify us by sending an electronic Plantsurance Claim from our website, which you can do by clicking here. Please be aware all plantsurance claims must be made within 365 days of receiving your merchandise. Once we receive you notification we will verify two things; first, the plants were recommended within the right USDA Growing Zone as recommended on each product page of our website, two, that your request has been made within 365 days of receiving your plant material. If you have ordered and planted material outside of USDA Zones or it has been over one year then your Plantsurance is void. Once verified we will simply ask you to send a picture of you plants with a scrap mark on the trunk to reveal the cambium, so our professionals can make sure the plant is dead and not dormant. Once pictures are submitted you will be issued an immediate store credit in the value of the plant purchased. It is much like our plant insurance policy, we guarantee the plant at the price in which you paid for it. You make use the store credit to purchase any plant material you wish at any time you wish as it will not expire at any time.
Do we offer refunds?
Cancellations for orders placed with Ty Ty Nursery are accepted prior to the plants being processed for shipping. Once the plants have been processed for shipping an order can no longer be cancelled, because the plants have been dug specially for the order. Refunds are only available if plants ordered are not available to seasonally ship as a complete order. When orders are placed for plants shipping to prohibited quarantined states, Ty Ty Nursery will refund these orders. Plants are healthy and guaranteed to grow sold by Ty Ty Nursery, because all plants that Ty Ty Nursery grows or purchases for resale are inspected before shipment by the Department of Agriculture and are certified to be healthy. If the plants do not grow after 1 year of planting, Ty Ty Plant Nursery, LLC offers a free 1yr Plantsurance Policy, if picked up at the nursery at the proper season with your order form.

|When will my order ship?|
|Please see each individual item page for more information on the availability of each item. Also, after placing your order, you may click the "My Account / Order Status" link at the top right hand side of our site to track the status of your order. You will receive a shipment confirmation when your order has shipped and tracking information within 24-48 hours of shipment.
Orders normally ship within ten business days of ordering. Deciduous plant material must be dormant prior to shipping, per regulations. Orders placed for deciduous plant stock will be held until the proper time (approx Dec. 15th - April 15th). Most bulbs and evergreen plant stock is shipped October through May and will be shipped within 10 days or ordering. Orders are shipped complete and whole, if an order is for evergreen plants and deciduous plants in the summer, the order will be shipped together once the deciduous stock has gone dormant.
