The excellent Texas Star Banana tree grows 6-8 ft. tall with tasty, medium size fruit, and produces a sweet flavor. The original trees of the Texas Star banana were obtained from Wichita Falls, TX in 1978 by Ty Ty Nursery, and the banana plants have proven to survive cold temperatures better than any other banana trees on our test plots.

Delivery Time: Banana Trees ship October through May and should ship within ten business days from when the order was placed, while in the current shipping season. The actual delivery time will usually be within four to seven days following the date of shipping by Ty Ty Plant Nursery. Shipping Method: UPS Ground and Motor Freight if the proper arrangements have been made by the customer prior to shipping. Shipping costs do apply on Motor Freight shipments, not covered by any sales promotions.
Plant Size: Banana Plants leaves are pruned off prior to shipping to allow for the safest and efficient shipping. Once planted the banana plant will sprout extremely quickly and regain all growth that was pruned off prior to shipping. The size listed above is by age and not by height, the height cannot be guaranteed.

If plants are listed by gallon size the plant will be removed from container and have the majority of the dirt removed to allow for the best shipping.
