Pink Velour Crape Myrtle Trees are small, growing just over 10' tall at maturity. This variety is especially spectacular because of both the bright pink blooms and the wine-burgundy leaves. This Crape Myrtle is sure to attract the attention of your friends and family. The Pink Velour Crape Myrtle Tree is primarily used as an ornamental tree or center piece because of its exceptional color and beauty. The large flower clusters last for several months from June through August.

• The burgundy tint in the leaves is mostly apparent along the edge of the leaf and on the veins. The Pink Velour Crape Myrtle Tree is brilliant in the sunlight and seems to glow around the edges. You can plant it in dark corners of your landscape to bring new life to the area. The seedpods of the Pink Velour Crape Myrtle Tree are dark maroon and split open to release winged seeds into the wind. By cutting back and pruning your Pink Velour Crape Myrtle Tree you can train it to grow dense and low to the ground. Sometimes, blooms of the Pink Velour Crape Myrtle Tree can grow so large that the branch bends over toward the ground from the weight, and are completely covered by very large flower clusters in the summer, at the peak of their season.

I hope that the dead leaves are just part of the shopping process.  These are in the ground and we hope to see new growth soon
