The Georgiana chinquapin produces clusters of several chinquapins on a small bush, usually growing 2-3 feet tall. Often found on coastal beaches of the Atlantic and Gulf Coasts, the Georgiana chinquapin is a small bush, a small nut and salt water tolerant. Duck and many game birds are attracted to the site of ripening chinquapins and the chinquapin bushes are stripped bare in a short time.

If you are looking for a small bush to attract wildlife into your garden to feet, the Georgiana Chinquapin bush is an excellent choice. Chinquapins differ from chestnuts in having only a single nut in the burr, whereas, all other members of the Castanea family have multiple nuts.
