Tamuke Yama Japanese Maple Tree

Tamuke Yama Japanese Maple Tree

If you are a collector of dwarf Japanese maple trees, or if you are looking for the best ever, containerized banzai plant, then the Acer palmatum &bul;  Tamukeyama&bul;   may be the one that you have been looking for. This maple tree only grows to about 5 feet tall and is cold-hardy in zones 5-9, and tolerates the heat and high humidity of the South. The Tamukeyama is the most sun resistant of the Japanese dwarf maples and grows best in rich organic soil profiles. The outstanding delicate, fine-cut, segmented leaves are red-purple in color and will hold their bright colors throughout the entire growing season and turn brilliant crimson in the fall. This tree was the award winner of the Gold Medal of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, and is considered to be the best and oldest of the Japanese red banzai maple trees.

3 of 5 Packaging and delivery May 16, 2014
Reviewer: Yuriy Borukhov from Roslyn Heights, NY United States
The tree was sent on Friday, and I received it only on Tuesday evening. The packaging was terrible and the tree looks dead. I plant it but the leaves are dry. About the delivery, why would someone send an order on Friday knowing that there is no deliveries on weekends. I understand that you tried to satisfy a customer to show that you have a fast delivery, but not for product like live tree. Let's see if the tree will recover. Very disappointing.
