The Sylvester Palm Tree is an excellent specimen to plant near pools and garden landscape patios. The inflorescent stalk of the Sylvester Palm tree can be cut off and a sweet sap is collected, much like maple syrup is collected, and a fermented alcoholic drink is made by natives in India from this palm tree. The Sylvester Date Palm Tree has a slender trunk, much like the Windmill Palm Tree, and is often used to landscape garden areas near pools.

• Sylvester Palm works well when planted in front of a hotel, giving a beautiful tropical appearance that is sure to satisfy customers. The leaves of the Sylvester Palm Tree are feather shaped similarly to the Canary Island Date Palm Tree but are colored with a blue frosty wax, and the tree is an excellent landscaping specimen Also called the Wild Date Palm, the Sylvester Palm Tree, Phoenix sylvestris, is very similar to the Canary Island Palm and the edible date palm, the Medjool Date Palm.

Delivery Time: Date Palm Trees are shipped October through May and should ship within ten business days from when the order was placed, while in the current shipping season. The actual delivery time will usually be within four to seven days following the date of shipping by Ty Ty Plant Nursery. Delivery time can not be guaranteed, if a package needs to arrive prior to a specific date please note in the comment section of the order or contact Ty Ty Nursery by telephone during normal business hours.

Shipping Method: UPS Ground and Motor Freight if the proper arrangements have been made by the customer prior to shipping. Shipping costs do apply on Motor Freight shipments, not covered by any sales promotions.

Palm Measurement: All palm trees are listed by overall height (OA), being measured from the top root structure to the top of the tallest leaf. The sizes listed are not clear trunk heights, the trunk size is included on the listed sizes.

*1 Year Free Plantsurance Policy is void on any shipment outside of recommended USDA zones, or authorized to ship by the customer during below freezing temperatures.

If plants are listed by gallon size the plant will be removed from container and have the majority of the dirt removed to allow for the best shipping.
