When picked directly from the tree, the Mystery X figs are tasty, sweet and aromatically fruity. The original Mystery X fig tree is reliable in producing heavy crops of fruit that ripens in July through September. Buy and plant a Mystery X Fig tree 5-6 foot or better and you will grow figs the very first season. An excellent dessert choice is sliced Mystery X figs, sprinkled with powdered sugar and warmed slightly for deep flavor. When the purple colored Mystery X fig is sliced the bright red pulp is soft and flavorful. The original Mystery X fig tree was found growing near an abandoned cabin on an old Georgia Plantation.

5 of 5 Mystery X Fig - 3 yrs later May 15, 2022
Reviewer: Molly from Beaufort, SC United States
I purchased this tree (6-7 Ft) in 2019 for my home in zone 8b.  This tree was in great shape when it was delivered and sprouted leaves a couple of weeks later. This tree has been a great investment. We nurtured it on our sunny porch for its first 2 seasons and transferred it to our yard last fall. Currently (May 22) this tree is about 9 feet tall and covered in baby figs. It has been disease resistant and survived a few dips below freezing. The fruit is getting better each season. I highly recommend Ty-Ty trees and this fig variety.
