The Baba berry plant is an unusual combination cross between a blackberry plant with a raspberry plant that are documented to have originated in California from an outstanding and unique hybrid bush that was found growing in isolation near a Monastery . The feature of most berry hybrids is an improvement that dramatically exceeds both parents that were involved, and the Baba berry bushes grow strong canes with rapidly increasing and sub-rhizomes that spread underneath the earth to multiply bushes. The Baba berry plant thrives in acid soils with an optimum pH between 5 and 6 with good aquatic drainage. The first crop of Ba Ba berries ripens in June, and the second in October.

I think this one will not make it.  I recommend starting some plants in the fall as not all will make it thought the Florida summer.  When plants first arrive I think for some of them it is a good idea to place them in the water for couple of hours and give the roots a good soak.

I received this plant and it looked like nothing but a 12 inch stick with a single 10 inch root. No leaves, nothing. Planted it anyway. Now watching to see if it grows,
