The Hippeastrum Amaryllis Apple Blossom bulb sends up successive stems that rise from the awakened bulb as it is watered, warmed and placed into the light. Each of the stems are crowned with four or more pinkish-white flowers that last for weeks when kept in a cool room but for a much shorter time if kept in a very warm environment. Multiple stems from the Apple Blossom amaryllis provide extended periods of colorful blossoms during the holiday season. This bulb is one of the few of the Dutch tribes of amaryllis that has the charming fragrance of unfurling apple blossoms and the distinctive flower color that is seen in the blossoms in the spring in orchards of flowering apple trees.
