The Emperor Ginger Lily - As a landscape Ginger this plant has no equal, because of the dramatic white striping on gray-green foliage. The plants sprout at TyTy during May, then produce beautiful white and yellow blooms that are superb as cut flowers in partial shade. The variegated leaves remain a prizewinner in the garden until frost during December. The Emperor Ginger survives well in tough environmental conditions if planted in shady locations, whether wet or dry. The bright yellow centers of the white flowers of the Emperor Curcuma Ginger Lily shines brilliantly in the garden. The Emperor Ginger Lily has survived temperatures down to 0°F. The Emperor Curcuma Ginger Lilywill survive cold conditions, even in zone 7.
