Wildlife Mulberry Tree

The Wildlife Mulberry tree is one of the last plants to flower in the Spring. Buds are green and somewhat unremarkable until the fruit ripens and changes color. When planted near valuable crops, the mulberry tree serves well as a distraction and more preferred food source for birds and deer. Mulberries are delicious and will quickly stain the fingers and tongue of children eager to harvest the abundant crop.

Deer enjoying a mulberry

It has been widely reported that the mulberry fruit of the Wildlife Mulberry Trees & Mulberry Plants is the favorite food of deer. One hunter actually took a sacred oath, that he shot a deer after it had climbed a mulberry tree to eat the berry fruit. This story appears to lie on the edge of reality, since deer are not generally thought to be capable of such acts as climbing trees.
