The Sumner Pecan tree can grow into an enormous tall tree that can produce hundreds of pounds of pecan nuts each year around Thanksgiving. Because the nuts of the Sumner Pecan tree ripening so late they are not usually recommended to grown further North than Atlanta, GA.

The Sumner Pecan Tree is sometimes called the "Western Schley Pecan Tree," and it originated in Chula, Georgia.
