You are here: TyTy Online Plant & Fruit Tree Nursery > Flowering Bulbs > Amaryllis Bulbs > San Antonio Amaryllis Bulb San Antonio Amaryllis Bulb [Hippeastrum X 'San Antonio']
The San Antonio Amaryllis, Hippeastrum X 'San Antonio' appears to be a hybrid sterile Amaryllis produces no seed, however, it multiplies and offsets like few other Amaryllis members. Many bulbs, like Crinum and Amaryllis, that form abundant flowers tend to be weak subjects to regenerate new plants. It can also be said generally that fast dividing bulbs sometimes are weak bloomers that tend to remain vigorously vegetative in nature. The San Antonio Amaryllis bulb flowers much better, if its clusters of bulbs is cramped with infrequent potting. Clivia tends to exhibit this same behavior and appears to resent repotting by reduced flowering. |
