TyTy Nursery grows a large Meiwa Kumquat tree that will be covered with fruit from October until January.

The Meiwa Kumquat tree often produces several crops each year, and the Christmas crop is usually the largest.

The kumquat produced by the fruit of the Meiwa Kumquat tree is a delicious citrus fruit. The Meiwa Kumquat tree bears early and will produce several crops each year of nearly round kumquats that eventually turn a bright orange color, however, they develop a sweet flavor.

Meiwa kumquat orange trees are planted in giant pots for year-round fruiting, and this kumquat finds great favor in the northern states where it can be grown easily inside during the winter.

The Miewa Kumquat tree often produces seedless fruit, however, the seedless characteristic is unpredictable.

The fruit of the Meiwa Kumquat tree is sweet, even in the green stage. They grow 8 feet tall to 6 feet wide and are often grafted on tri-foliate root stock.
