The Latham raspberry cultivar has become a standard in early-bearing garden and pick-your-own operations, because of its vigor, productivity, firmness and flavor. The Latham raspberry plants were first cultivated as a hybrid in 1920 in Minnesota and predictably is very cold hardy, reaching the extreme Northern states requirements for cold Winter temperatures.

They ripen evenly during the last days of June and early July covering a three week extended period of maturation.
