The Leyland Cypress Shrub is a very rapidly growing evergreen shrub that often is utilized as a privacy screen. The flat leaves of the Leyland Cypress tree offer a large surface area to absorb irritating automobile fumes, and the density of the foliage will block out automobile noise and unwanted surveillance.

The Arizona Cypress tree is often planted as a specimen tree, however, it is most commonly used as a privacy screen in dry areas where the dense flat leaves can break strong winds. The color of the leaves on the Arizona Cypress Tree is quite variable and can range in hues of silver, grey or dusty white.
