Angel Trumpet (Datura) Plants

Angel Trumpet plants grow as shrubs with very long and beautiful flowers which droop downward. Angel Trumpets are easy to grow in frost free environment but may need to be covered in colder climates. Ingestion of Angel Trumpet has been used by South American shamans to cause delirium.

These Angel Trumpet (Datura) Plants bloom in Summer and Fall - presenting a spectacular grouping of flowers in view.

Called 'Datura' or 'Angel's Trumpets' the Brugmansia x candida 'Yellow' plant can grow 15 ft. tall and becomes covered with 9 in. trumpets that hang down in the bud stage.

As the color changes begin on the Brugmansia x candida 'Pink' plant, the flowers point upwards, but as the flowers mature they point downwards, and then they drop to the ground after several days, leaving the bush with fresh flowers - a beautiful appearance.
