Amaryllis Bulbs

Amaryllis Bulbs produce very large and showy blooms and make great potted plants. Amaryllis is very easy to grow indoors and will go dormant if exposed to cool temperatures. Amaryllis gardens were made popular in the 18th and 19th century when Dutch breeders began hybridizing bulbs commercially. While, most Amaryllis blooms have 6 petals with 4 blooms growing on a single stem, breeders have created popular bulbs which grow 12 petal "double flowers".
