Aloe Plants

Aloe plants have thick, water retaining stems and a waxy surface. Aloe flowers grow on a single stem in clusters of tubular blooms. There are many varieties of aloe that differ greatly in shape and color variation. Aloe plants contain a thick gel which is commonly used to soothe burns and eczema.




Aloe Desert Plants are historically linked to the ancient Egyptians, 1500 B.C. and the Bible speaks about Christ's body being wrapped in aloes, John 19:39, after he was removed from the cross.



Cleopatra was known to have used aloes to preserve her beauty for Mark Antony.



Spines of the Aloe Desert Plants are usually harmless on aloes, although they look very dangerous.
