The White Mogul Crinum lily was named by Lester Hannibal from Fair Oaks, California, who believed it was a hybrid lily cross selection of the species: Crinum yemense and Crinum moorei, and White Mogul appeared to be a taller version of the similar Hannibal, hybrid creation of his, named the White Prince' Crinum. These plants must be grown in some shade for the best results, and the white, trumpet-shaped flowers possess that optimized, distinctive fragrance that came from the two parental plants.
