'Weaver Select' White DogwoodFlowering White Dogwood Trees

This special selection of White Dogwood trees is called "Weaver's Select", and the leaves are larger than the common white dogwoods, and the flowers sometimes are twice as large in size as the native dogwood tree, because of the spectacular Spring show of flowers, the Weaver's Select Flowering Dogwood trees are often placed in prominent locations near government buildings. Weaver's Select Dogwood trees are far superior to other Dogwood varieties. Large white blooms appear on Weaver's Select Dogwoods earlier than is otherwise possible. The flowers prefer full sun and locations that have good soil drainage, and the shape of the Dogwood tree flower is often described as a white glowing Maltese cross. The Weaver's Select Dogwood trees can grow flowers as large as 5 inches and are of glowing white. In the native state White Dogwood trees are most often growing in shade because they grow slower than most forest trees and thus, become shaded by large shade trees such as Oak and Maple trees. The branches of White Flowering Dogwood trees are covered with large pure white flowers that are centered with yellow-green stamens.
