The Agave 'Felipe Otero' plant is a slow growing agave plant and grows up to 18 in. tall and 3 ft. wide. The Agave 'Felipe Otero' plant is considered to be very expensive, because it grows so slowly. The hooks and terminal spikes turn pure white as the plant ages, and this strange pattern of variegation is not seen in other agaves.
The Agave 'Felipe Otero' is a beautiful plant for containerizing and growing in a very intense light. The thick, succulent leaves are surrounded by dangerous curving thorns and at the leaf tip is a sharp tapered spike. This outstanding medium green plant seems be splotched with a random screening of frosty white.
