As the Orange quince is harvested, it can be kept on shelves for months, rigiring no refrigeration. The Quincydonia tree is a well known quince in the South that was brought into early America as a seedling by Thomas Jefferson. The Quincydonia tree is large, up to 10 feet in height and is self pollinating. If several fruits of the Quincydonia tree are placed on a piano top or a nearby table the fragrant air will be enjoyed by all.
