Overcup Oak Tree- Quercus Lyrata

The Overcup Oak Tree is a very slow growing oak tree but can grow 100 feet tall, however, acorn production for wildlife animals does not occur until the Overcup Oak Tree ages to 30 years. The Overcup Oak Tree will produce a shade tree eventually, but the tree does not grow straight or fast and the lumber from the Overcup Oak Tree is extensively knotted--a characteristic that can be controversial.
