Banana plants begin growing fast when outside temperatures reach 80 degrees, heavy applications of nitrogen (ammonium sulfate) potassium (40% potash) and ammonium phosphate that can be used weekly when watered in heavily and then adding magnesium sulfate (Epsom salts) and lime (magnesium carbonate) will also benefit rapid growth.
