The rare lily from the Martini Lily Flowering Bulb was widely distributed by Marcia Wilson of Texas. Martini Lilies at King and Prince Hotel at St. Simons Island, Georgia. Zephyranthes robusta, 'Marcia's Lily' was hybridized by Marcia Wilson of Texas in the 1970's. The flowering of the Marcia's Zephyranthes Lily appears to follow heavy raining in the late Spring, eachflower lasting well for several days, and the large clumping Marcia's Lily reblooms after the clumps of bulbsrest for a few weeks. This Zephyranthes hybrid lily produces extremely fertile seeds in large seedpods that quickly form after flowering, and the seed will sprout rapidly if freshly planted and will flower the following season. Marcia's Lily is a very important hybrid fertile hybrid that forms large clusters of trumpet shaped pink flowers with yellowanthers rising from a green throat and light green flat leaves. Once established the large clumps of Marcia's Lilies aggressively cover the ground to crowd out most other plants and weeds, and Marcia's Lily can be depended upon to rebloom several times repeating a season and again every year on their timetable. The blossoms from the Martini Lily Flowering Bulb can sometimes be one foot tall and five inches in width, and literally cover their planting area in a splash of pink. The lily of the Martini Lily Flowering Bulb is by far one of the most outstanding flowering plants.
