The Japanese Flowering Snowball Tree is named for the large round clusters of white flowers. The flowers around the edges of the Snowball Tree are infertile and serve only to attract insects to the center flowers. Japanese Snowball Tree blooms are long lasting and are sometimes used in weddings. These white Flowering Japanese trees begin blooming in March and continue until fall.
