  Fry Scuppernong (F)

Alternative Views:

The Fry Scuppernong grapevines are the most important of the heaviest yielding muscadine grape producers, and a male scuppernong grapevine must be planted along with the female vine for the important and necessary pollination.  The ripened Fry scuppernong is very high in sugar, and that satisfies the fresh eating requirement. The Fry scuppernong grapes ripen over an extended, long period of time, and this valuable commercial grape is considered the best scuppernong grape vine in all respects by many growers and consumers.

I purchased a 3 yr. old plant.  What I received was a stick, 12 inches long with one tendril for a root.  I contacted customer report for a replacement and instead was offered only a reduction in price to a 2 yr. old plant.  Even after photographic evidence was sent to confirm the poor quality of the plant, I was told to wait and see if the plant died.  As stated in previous email to customer service, I was a first-time customer and now a LAST-time customer.  I will spread the word about TyTy in my area.

Not pleased at all with the Fry Scuppernong.  Two of the plants had very few roots.  It is very doubtful if two of them will make it.   I have ordered years ago from Ty Ty and I have some very nice Scuppernong and Muscadines each fall, but these were not good at all.

I was born and raised in Blakely, Georgia and wanted to raise these grapes and show my friends what a treat they missed.  I hope they turn out well.
