Alternative Views:

Elberta peaches ripen Late July through August and need 800 chill hours (5 weeks of 45 degrees F or below) to set fruit. Planting a different variety near the Elberta will help increase the pollen available during flowering and help increase the fruit quality, but other varieties are not needed to produce peaches. This red peach is one of the most famous peaches in the United States. Hardy, disease resistant fruits of are large and freestone, colored deep golden yellow, blushed a deep red. The Elberta peach, when tree ripened, can be as large as a coffee cup. Peaches can be dried, preserved or made into jelly for consumption months after the initial harvest. The flowering of an Elberta Peach tree can begin in early March after a winter warmup.

Exactly as ordered May 20, 2014

It's too early to rate four stars yet. Tree is beautiful. I planted it the day after I received it and I can't wait until it gets leaves.

Not what I expected April 23, 2014
Reviewer: Mario Perez from Cranston, RI United States
Ordered (2) 6 foot trees and got 4 footers at most. Box was damaged and real flimsy. Shipping was slow. Average experience at best could have been a lot better.

Wow - what roots April 10, 2014
Reviewer: James Pauley from Franklin, WV United States
They arrived on Monday and inspected quickly after reading all the bad reviews. I was plesantly supprised the quality was much higher than I expected and packed very well with the wetting gel and wet news paper around the roots.  They went in the ground immediately - so if they don't grow - its either my or the weathers fault
