How to Plant a Flowering Pear Tree
The 'Cleveland Select' Flowering Pear tree is an excellent specimen for your backyard, a shapely formed tree for home landscaping. Flowering pear trees such as the Cleveland Select Pear Tree are extremely cold-hardy and can be grown in most American states from Maine to northern Florida. The Cleveland Pear Tree is a much improved flowering pear tree because of the tall shape of the strong limb structure that is angled upwards rather than horizontal.

Aside from bad weather slowing up UPS 3 days, my plants came alive and well packed. The root balls on them were fine.  Never bought a pear tree before, right now it looks like a Charlie Brown tree but it's alive.
