Cathedral Live Oak Tree
The Cathedral Live Oak Tree was named because of the overall shape of the tree, that of a church steeple. Like most Live Oak Trees, the Cathedral Live Oaks are easy to grow and require no extra care once established. Because the Cathedral Live Oak Tree is a cloned tree, its growth rate of 3 feet per year is predictable, a highly desirable characteristic for professional landscapers. Cathedral Live Oaks grow up to 80 feet tall and 120 feet wide at the base and like most evergreen Live Oak Trees show rapid growth.
The deep green color of the Cathedral Live Oak Tree brightens up the otherwise dismal winter landscapes where deciduous trees grow and shed their leaves after frost. As a city landscape tree, the Cathedral Live Oak Tree is popular to plant in parks, lining along highways and in front of symmetrical governmental buildings where uniform size is important.
