The large size of the purple Brandywine raspberry makes it easy to pick, and the deep purple color of the raspberry of the Brandywine Purple Raspberry Plant develops late in the season as the berry begins ripening. The one-inch berry of the Brandywine Purple Raspberry is tart in flavor, and this is a purple raspberry hybrid of red and black raspberry plant and taste like the red raspberry fruit. The plants being hybrids are very vigorous and yield considerably more than either red or black cultivars.
