'Bradford' Pear TreeFlowering Pear Tree - Bradford

The wavy marginalized, rich green leaves of the Flowering Pear 'Bradford' take on fall color variations (from yellow to red to reddish-purple) in colder areas, and this Pear is amazingly resistant to disease and sickness and tolerates a wide variety of soil types. The broad oval crown of the Flowering Pear 'Bradford', 30' high by 20' wide, makes a superb lawn shade tree, and the three develops a hard fruit that softens late and is consumed readily by birds. The beautiful white flowers of the 'Bradford' Pear Tree appear in early spring before the leaves sprout, the symmetrical shape of the tree is highly desirable and responds well to proper pruning. The shape of the Bradford pear tree is itself "pear shaped" like the fruit in appearance with its wide, rounded branching.
