  Boyne Raspberry Plant

Alternative Views:

The Boyne red raspberry plant is a hybrid cross that was reported and released in 1960 to produce juicy red berries that are somewhat dark in color, and the berries of this raspberry are medium in size and ripen as a soft sweet flavored raspberry with a delightful taste. For freezing in commercial plastic grocery packs, the Boyne red raspberry holds its excellent quality of flavor for extended periods. The Boyne raspberry is very cold hardy and has been planted extensively throughout the United States as a top home or commercial garden choice berry selection. Many suckers are produced in the mother plant, so that the plant production capacity is high for best commercial consideration, and the overall costs of increasing the size of a raspberry orchard is drastically reduced.

Very Disappointed Customer May 28, 2016
Reviewer: Joseph Bauer from South Bend, IN United States
I purchased 15 raspberry canes.  I am very disappointed with this order, because....

1. The canes were not delivered until 2 1/2 weeks after the order was placed.
2.  I have bought raspberry plants in the past, so I have experience with them.  The canes as delivered were much smaller and much less fully developed than I had expected.
3.  Three of the canes were very scrawny, and hardly worth planting.  I called up and spoke to a customer service representative, seeking a partial refund for those canes.  My request was rejected.  I was told that I could either return all the canes (and the rest had already been planted) or I would get nothing.
4.  I asked that person to check with his supervisor, and then to call me back with the supervisor's decision.  I have not received any further response.

Bottom line:  On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give TyTy a rating of 1, and would never recommend this company to anyone else.

A twig.... May 26, 2016
Reviewer: Anthony Orr from bealeton, VA United States
When ordering the plant I felt I was strongly mislead. The description said 3rd year, fruit bearing. We have purchased fruit bearing plants from local nurseries and gotten actual bushes. My order from Ty Ty consisted of a bunch of twigs that will likely not bare fruit this season.

Very Nice! March 11, 2016
Reviewer: Gillian from Spearsville, LA United States
This was a replacement for ones I bought last year that didn't live. The price was higher because they were out of the 1-year-old plants and I had to buy 3-year-old plants, but the plants looked so much bigger, thicker and healthier. I get them planted and a day later it rained 14 inches, so I would say they are off to a good start. I was actually shocked at how easy the replacement process was.
